The real me
Ok so here goes:
Me = Michelle Poulton, but I prefer to be called Micci, and most people call me that, I normally get what I want
) At work I’m Michelle, but at home I’m Micci.
Kids = Clarisse (left), the eldest and Xandria (right) the younger one, they’re twins so Clarisse is older by about 5 mins. Then there is my stepson Isak.
Lover, Fiance, Prince Charming = Frans.

Family
Hehehe, more details to follow later. . .

Super!
Lovely family, you all look truly happy.
If you don’t mind too much: I’ve always been fascinated by the idea of identical twins and would love to know how you, as the mother, experienced it (especially during infancy).
Is it easier than having just one?
How do you tell them apart when they’re 10 days old?
Did they wear identical outfits as little ones?
I would just love to hear more on the subject, if you’d like.
Thanks Liezl, we really are a happy bunch!
No problem for all the questions, I’ll answer any that you have.
It was easier having two, they always have a friend, they’ve never had night chills or seperation axiety, because they always had ’someone they knew’ with them.
The nappy part was rough as were the 1st three months, because they were premature, we had to wake them up for feedings every three hours, took them an hour to drink, half an hour to burp and change the nappy and then you do it all over again, so seriously, 3 months without sleep isn’t for everyone, but if I had to do it all over again I would.
I did get them mixed up in the beginning, was easy when I breastfed, but as soon as I changed to formula, it was a mess, one had to drink soya, and in the middle of a feed, I realised I gave the wrong bottle to the wrong baby! It was easy when they were lying on their left side, because Xandria has a birthmark behind her ear, but when they got hair. . . it was much harder. As they grow older though, you can distinguish their voices and facial expressions
)
They did wear identical outfits when I dressed them, it is just easier to dress them the same when choosing clothes. I still buy the same to avoid the whole ‘but mom I wanted that one’ when I buy alone. When they go with, they choose their own. They still get their days that they dress the same, but I think that is more to confuse people that don’t know them! They have totally different ideas of what they like and don’t like, though, so it is getting harder to buy for them. They’ll be 13 this year, which also complicates matters a bit. Teenagers!
Will glad to answer any other questions if you want.
